Race for water | The Foundation

Following the First Race for Water Odyssey, an expedition launched by the Foundation in 2015 to take stock of the global situation of ocean pollution by plastics, the findings are clear : there plastic pollution is everywhere. There is no 7th continent, nor a plastic island, but a soup of plastic waste floating in the "gyres". Only a tiny part remains visible on the surface. The majority has sunk or fragmented into infinitesimals. A large-scale cleaning of the oceans is therefore unrealistic. Only land-based solutions can effectively combat this scourge. of the 21st century.

How ? First of all, in encouraging everyone to reduce its plastic waste and in stimulating recycling. But also by proposing new models of waste management thanks to a technology capable of transforming plastic waste into electricity.
